The Show
Garrett Shider & Groovallegiance
Garrett Shider (aka Starchild Jr) was born into Funk royalty as the son of P-Funk Hall of Fame guitarist Garry Shider and vocalist Linda Shider. Surrounded by the legacy of Parliament-Funkadelic and touring with the band since 2011, Garrett continues to carve his own path while honoring his father's iconic musical heritage. A guitarist, vocalist and talented lyricist, Garrett has written songs for the Funkadelic album First Ya Gotta Shake the Gate as well as his solo debut, Hand Me Down Diapers, and the follow-up, Regurgitated Youth. His own band, Grooveallegiance, seamlessly blends the best of classic and contemporary Funk and provides a showcase for dynamic young talent in keeping with Garrett's ambition of passing the torch to another generation. Garrett promises a night of non-stop Funk, soul, and grooves that will have the audience dancing all night long.
