The George H. Darden II Funkateers Ball isn't just one night or one show--it's a weekend of events where you can meet your Funky friends and make brand new ones! Plan to stay from Friday through Sunday if you can.
Friday, September 25
3 PM Check in, then meet and relax in the hotel bar.
6 PM Hospitality Suite opens (Wisconsin Room at the Bethesdan)
8 PM - 11 PM P-Funk Radio Live!
Friday kicks off in the Wisconsin Room with JTRP and DJ Gonzilla, aka Gabe Gonzalez, the Undisco Kidd. Gabe will spin and there will be live vocal performances from Tony Camm, Shirley Clinton and maybe some other special guests!
Saturday, September 26
12 PM Lyrically Correct (P-Funk Edition)
Test your P-Funk knowledge but watch your words! (Avalon Room)
Feel free to relax in the Hospitality Suite or explore Bethesda's many restaurants before getting ready for the Ball.
6 PM Doors open at the Bethesda Theater. Relax at the bar or take your seat for a la carte dinner options and music by DJ Gonzilla.
8 PM The George H. Darden Funkateers Ball
11 PM After Party
Join us in the Bethesdan Hotel bar for special extended services hours until 1 AM.

Most Funkateers stay at the Bethesdan Tapestry Collection by Hilton where we enjoy special rates. Our weekend activities and hangouts take place here as well.
