The George H. Darden II Funkateers Ball isn't just one night or one show--it's a weekend of events where you can meet your Funky friends and make brand new ones! Plan to stay from Friday through Sunday if you can. This year all events will be held at The Bethesdan Hotel. Your weekend ticket covers admission to all events.
Friday, September 26
3 PM Check in, then meet and relax in the hotel bar
7 PM Hospitality Suite opens​
8 PM P-Funk Radio Live!
Friday kicks off in the Hospitality suite with your favorite P-Funk Radio personalities and hosts bringing their shows from the web and chat rooms to an in-person evening of funkin' with your "Station for the Nation." Join P-Funk Radio hosts for a live pre-party featuring the best and deepest cuts from P-Funk and related acts.

Test your P-Funk knowledge but watch your words! (Hospitality Suite)
12 PM Funk from the Front Seat Live!
Nappy #9 (Zack Roberson) brings you his unique mix of interviews and engaging talk (Ballroom)
Lunch on your own--stay local in the hotel or try one of Bethesda's great restaurants.

2-4 PM Day Party
Special guest performances, P-Funk jam session, and Anthony Davis's Wig Out Wednesday Trivia Live! (Ballroom)

Grab dinner, change into your Funk attire, and rest up for the night ahead!

8 PM The George H. Darden Funkateers Ball (FB Weekend Edition)
​
You saw him first on the FB8 stage...our own Rufus "Uncle Jam" Thompson starts the night off with his hilarious and topical comedy!
​
Then Earthbound Creatures w/ ToNY CaMM and Zack Roberson will kick off the party Saturday night with a musical tribute to Funkadelic's Let's Take It To The Stage.
The FB9 Allstar Band pays tribute to Parliament's Chocolate City and Mothership Connection--all albums celebrating their 50th anniversary! Featuring ToNY CaMM, Zack Roberson and Wesley Bean on vocals, Terre Holland on bass, Guy "Now Child" Curtis and Mike McHenry on guitars, Robert "Big Funk Rob" Woods on drums and Chris Schmitt on keys.
This is an all-ages event with young Funkateers welcome. Refreshments will be available in the lobby bar and restaurant until 11 PM.
